Chisquares

Welcome to Chisquares University

Chisquares "University" is an initiative aimed at empowering people by providing the finest education in an accessible manner to people from all walks of life and around the world. At its core, Chisquares University aims to democratize knowledge, so people everywhere can participate in the same virtual classroom. We operate actual classes that are held virtually, once weekly, where hundreds of people tie in to participate, listen to live lectures, and ask questions. There are homework assignments and students are encouraged to work in groups.

At Chisquares, we share a philosophy akin to that of William Tyndale, renowned for his pioneering work in translating texts into English. Tyndale aimed to ensure that his translations were accessible to ordinary individuals, famously expressing his desire for "the boy that driveth the plough" to comprehend the written word. We wholeheartedly agree with Da Vinci's sentiments that "Simplicity is the utmost sophistication".

Testimonials

See what our students say about us

My Chisquares professor loves to quote Aeschylus, the Father of Greek Tragedy: "He who learns must suffer, and even in our sleep pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God." While I work hard to master analyzing COVID-19 cases through R programming I keep in mind Albert Einstein's advice that "the fundamental ideas of science are essentially simple, and may, as a rule, be expressed in a language comprehensible to everyone." We are immensely grateful to you, Prof. Israel Agaku, DMD, MPH, PhD, NEA for explaining such complex datasets in a very meaningful and engaging way.

I am glad to have joined this eight-week applied data analyst course offered by Chisquares. It is a privilege to listen to Israel Agaku DMD, MPH, MBA present/teach about analysis with R. So far, we have covered the following: -Introduction to data analysis, and -Acquaintance with R for data analysis. As one building a career in #globalhealth, I consider this a unique opportunity to learn how to analyse public data for informed decision-making and/or policy-making. Thank you Chisquares

Another day, another certificate! Chisquares graced me with yet another brutal (kidding) class on R. In this lecture the importance of practice was driven home.

The R programming course exceeded my expectations. The instructor broke down complex statistical concepts into manageable chunks that even beginners could understand. I'm now confidently applying these skills in my research.

It was actually a super gentle class, R is just not that gentle to me yet. As we were informed "he who learns must suffer." 😅 But I like to think of it as, he who can learn can conquer anything.
